replacement alternator

I am currently running a Mean Green alternator. Does anyone know what GM alternator I can use as a replacemen?

When I had alternator tested the guy used a GM plug. I asked him if he could match it he said not without the make model and year of GM vehicle.

Thanks

Picture? I went through a stack of alternators at the auto droid store to find the one that had the ears at the right position. The connectors can generally be looked up to figure out what needs to be connected where. For reference mine is a SBC in a FJ40.
