couple ideas for ya'
here's some ideas:
1. check the parting out section for TWO fj62's, try to get the front diff from each. 2. Cruiserparts.net: but you will need to spend some time cleaning them up. I got mine from them, they were a little dirty, but totally fine. HTH. __________________ 1987 FJ60, SROR Sliders, lockers, 4.11s, 33s and other stuff 1977 FJ40, mostly stock. |

I run 4.11's with 37's AND an auto tranny. To be honest it has been so long with this setup that I can't tell how bad it sucks. I'll let you know in a week or two as I'm finally putting in the 4.88's.

Why do you only want the front diff's from an FJ62?

Probably because the front ring and pinion will have a lot less wear than the rear. I'd guess that my front gear set has less than 5K miles of wear on it compared to the 70K+ on the rear set.
That's the only reason I can think of. __________________ 2005 Trek 5000, Ultegra, Easton Orion II's, DD (15k miles) 2002 Xterra, 31's, dual batts, National Luna 52L, (105k miles) 2001 UZJ100, stock (41k miles) 1990 FJ62, SOA+OME, 37's, Slee rear/ARB front, dual batts, FF, ARB's with 4.88's, and other stuff (145K miles) 1975 Bronco, 347 stroker, extended wheelbase, locked, 35 spline 4340, Atlas II, Klune-V, NV4500, 40's, my Land Cruiser killer (110k miles) |

4.11s
I am only going to run 33'' tires so 4.11s should work well.
Front difs have hardly any wear. It is not necessary that both be fronts as I will just switch them front to back and back to front. I will give Marlin a call. Thanks Bill |
