6'2" and 175 pounds. The 60 has far more room than an 80. Lots of head room too.

I have an HJ61, essentially same body as an FJ62, except with a high roof. I'm 5'10, and I have the seat as far back as it will go. Wouldn't want it any shorter for sure. Can't get out without tilting the steering wheel up. The sun shades are also useless. If I have them down, I can't see anything because they hang to low. So I can only lower them slightly, annoying because they're pretty much in my face at that point.

I think LC's were made for little people that have a lot of gear!

Not so big boy...

I made a "small" mistake...

I wrote 6"7'... What I ment was 6'7"...
More custom to metric I gess.

At almost 2 meters I fit my HJ60 nice and comfy, but I would change the (driver)seat if I had to drive it more often and over longer distances.

I had a FJ55 (or KZJ53 to be axact) and I welded some Scheel custom seats into the whole roll cage extravaganza. Furthermore I changed the steering wheel for a much smaller item and lengthend the steering collum. The back seat was out (because of the roll cage and other ) and the rear side windows were blackend.
As a result of all this I was totally invisable from the side view; I was looking behind the B-pillar.

Bonus feature of this setup was that my Jack Russel terrier now could drive a big, muddy, dented, yellow cruiser over the highway. Or so it looked from the side view when the dog was on my lap...

When you are trying to envision this, think about 7 or 8 kg of three coloured arrogance staring at you without blinking, while you are waiting for the traffic light to skip colour.

Oh yeah... My dog has more than enough leg room...

Inseam

6' 1'' 245lbs, and a 34"" inseam. Have had three 60 and never felt cramped, beat to death a time or two but leg room adequate.

Dang there's some big boys on this forum! I've always felt small here, but thought it was just my lack of mechanical prowess.
I'm all of 5' 9 " and 200 lbs (OK maybe 205), and I fit in my 60 too!

i don't think the seats go all the way back like that...whatever. i have plenty of room. and it is my DD. couple hundred miles a week.

my apologies to all on this board. i overlooked the height requirement when i signed up. i will as quickly as possibly remove my 5' 10' frame from this board, sell my beloved '84 fj60, buy a corolla and start my own site which will be named ih8speedbumps.com. it's been nice getting to know all of you goliaths. (i couldn't find an emoticon who was looking up)

no man. it's all cool. no need to sell the cruiser, or leave the site. but from here on after you'll need to use the girls garage a few doors down teh hall.

Perhaps we should be comparing inseam lengths rather than height.
my inseam is 37" so i got some legs, you won't catch me trying to shoehorn myslef into a mazda miata. don't get me wrong i am not swimming in room up front but it is surprisingly comfortable to ride and wheel in. i just bought a 78 fj40 to dump more money into and it is tight. i will need to re-engineer the seat position for that project.

Wow, I'm a 35. How tall are you? For your 40, you could consider checking out the seat extensions available here: Classic Cruisers Custom Parts

I used them on my '76 40 and they made a world of difference!
