And tonight I got the back end cleaned up a bit. Got the axle pulled and blew the rivets on the spring hangers.

No pic of the new hangers welded on . I moved them 3" back from stock to get the tire a bit further away from the door. Should work out pretty well.

Oh, and I guess I won't be running 3.73s, even temporarily. I pulled the driveshaft and I could see the pinion flange wobbling around. The pinion nut came loose and I'd saw there is roughly 1/4"-3/8" of play. I was rolling when I saw it. I'm interested to get inside and see how bad the third is.

And the last one for the night.

I built this 4.7 mini case with a 465 adapter about a year and a half or 2 yrs. back. I never ended up running it nor did the 3 other buddies who had posession of it in the mean time. Now it's back to me and it's going to get run.

So anyway after noisy time ended (I try to knock off about 9:30 to be decent to the neighbors) I started in on the mini case. Got a bit torn down but with no air tools (too loud) I didn't get as far as I wanted.

Did you ever take the measurement?

No I forgot and I've since put the 31s back on to make it easier in the garage. I'll try to remember when I throw the Iroks back on.

I'm guessing you are not taking this rig to Moonlight Madness.

Barbie does make a nice addition to the shop. Gives me the sense that you're in touch with your delicate side.

BTW Nice build! I've been following it since you started it!

Do you mean the transfer part or just the tail housing?

Does the Mark VIII fit with a 2F in the stock location? I tried to fit one on my 3FE but it look like the depth of the fan motor was going to hit the pullery of the water pump. Went with the twin Contour fan instead with a DC Controller (which is working very well).

Don't know, haven't tried just yet.

I'm thinking I'll be able to make it fit as there is about 1" to either side of the shroud on the radiator and the motor is also offset on the shroud so if need be, I can flip it upside down.

Only need the reduction housing so the whole transfer section will be tossed.

The fenders are pretty clean so I was thinking about resetting the locks in the steering box so it'll stop before the tires rub. Turning radius will suck but I'll look pimp @ the mall...........................................:lo l:

No, I actually got a new air saw that I'm itching to test out. Should make short work of the sheet metal.
