Its about right where the red arrow is. Near the very back. Its not really on the drivers side or passenger side, kinda right in the middle. You can see it best from the passenger side, but get to it best on the drivers side.

*edit* I also checked mine, and the cap was there, but the screw was loose. Will tighten it and check out how my gas mileage is.

My screw is all the way out. I tried for...more than 30 minutes to get it started, but they thread just won't catch for some reason. It's in a touch spot...I guess I could remove the dampener, try to get the screw in, then put the same one back in.

I checked mine. The screw was in place but I was able to tighten it down a little. I will see if it make adifferance in power and mileage.

I'm sure you can find a metric machine screw that'll fit, and put a small O-ring on it. That'd do the trick. I'd be surprised if you can order just the screw from Toyota though.

I went from an average of 10MPG to 12MPG. Figured by doing the math each time I filled my tank and taking the average mileage from three fillups.

Does the 2F have this thingy? It looks like all of ya'll have later model/mod'ed 60s and 62s. Is the reason I am having trouble finding it on my very stock '82 60 because it ain't there? Thanks.

It is part of the fuel injection system of the 3FE, which is found under the hood of (us spec) FJ62's and FJ80's. So no, there is not one on your FJ60.

checked mine, the screw was laying on top of the the dampner. the grey cap keeped it from flying away. i installed the screw until she no longer turned and i did make a difference just in the idle. the idle became solid (kind of like an engine that you'd expect to have some HP). i can not coment on power or gas mileage increase. my alternator took a dump. i did notice that after a while at idle it started to back out. JB weld took care of that.

I'm a skeptical SOB, I've been reading all morning and that screw has no duty description in Alldata and Identifix. I understand what the fuel pulsation damper is supposed to do. It has no adjustment listed though. Anyway, I found mine 4 turns loose and I swear this damn thing feels like I put a stock SBC in it.

Euclid tried adjusting mines whilst in memphis... no dice, the screw was loose just rattlin' in the cap and would not go in. it looks cross threaded.
I went all over Auburn, even the custom screw houses and no one had this size... so i went to my dealer parts counter for giggles (they're great guys, for real). The manager actually found a junked engine out back that we robbed the screw from, all damper screws on yotas are apparently the same! Can't buy the screw without the damper by the way.
I'll report if my junk actually gets better feel and better gas mileage now that there is actually a screw there and tightened down....

I'm always skeptical about these little things and big claims that go along with them but just checked mine. Sure enough the screw was sitting unscrewed under the cap. Tightened that little bugger and my idle went up 300rpm and is now nice and smooth. Put a dab of JB Weld on it while I was at it, if it performs better or MPG increases I'll post up.

Your idle went up 300 rpm!? From what to what? Idle should be smooth at 625-650 rpm in park. The screw is not for tightening down, it's for calibrating the damper at the factory.

Yeah, I'm not mad about it at all...

Went out in the driveway, popped the cap and the screw was just hanging out. Not tighened down at all. Before I did anything, cranked up the cruiser, and the usual--idle about 620-650 rpm--nothing out of the ordinary. Shut her off. Tighten the screw, crank her up--much smoother idle around 750 rpm. Went down the road and got up to about 45 much sooner than I did this morning going to work. Perhaps I was excited about the thread, or maybe, just maybe, this little trick works one way or another. Time will tell, huh? If nothing else, definately facinating.

I didnt take it for a cruise, but just snuging that screw down, about 3 turns loose, really smoothed out the rough idle. It was noticeable immediately.
