Looking for a replacement for CruiserParts...

I am sad to say that I've had a bad experience with CruiserParts. I never had a problem with them... until they started acting unprofessional, leaving me on hold for 20 minutes...the guy that deals with buying parts trucks will not come to the phone and speak with me and I'm lucky if he ever emails or calls me back.

So does anyone know of any other companies on the northeast coast that buy and pick up used rigs for parts?

Sorry, I don't mean to bad mouth CP but they need to get their act together.

Dan

Every time I ask for James...the guy in the office puts me on hold for 20 minutes. When I call back I go through the same thing over and over again.

I'm checking out cruiser solutions right now...they have a great web site. I will email them to see if they would be willing to take my 60 away.

Thanks

x2

After I bought my cruiser I kept Merle on the phone quite a bit (still do)... He is very knowledgeable and my parts have come fast. Good prices too. However - Classic Cruisers is for sale! Great opportunity for any industrious cruiserheads...

Yeah I was trying to sell it... then I re-evaluated it and realized the frame is pretty rusty along with all the fuel lines, etc...I figure it's as good as spare parts.

yeah it runs great...and it better since I tossed a crap load of new parts into the motor. The fuel lines rusted away and I need to get the tank off to repair them but I have a different agenda right now and I just want to get rid of it as is.

yeah I put an ad up on mud a while ago. no dice.

But that was before I knew the extent of the actual condition of the frame.

I suppose I could try again.

CS is in business to make a profit.

They will also want to give you as little as possible.

You will get the most piece by piece.

Have you considered parting it out?

YEP its a PIA

But desperate times call for desperate measures...

just part the big $$ items and take the rest to a scrap yard, scrap prices are really high right now.

Sorry to hear of your frustration with Cruiserparts. I have no business interest in James' place other than the services and products I've purchased there. I have always been satisfied, very satisfied. I've been there, the phone never stops ringing, and I'm amazed at how well they try to satisfy customers. If you want to know more-I mean specific examples of what I speak-PM me. James knows his "stuff" and is beseiged with emails for technical help. His knowlege of Cruisers is almost encyclopedic.
