well its a friend of mines and his wife drives it. I talked to him about a 5 speed but his wife sad she doesn't want a stick.
So I am gathering that unless he can find a used unit than a rebuild could run 1500 to 2000?

Maybe a post in the clubhouse section of your local TLCA club will help you find one nearby.

Let me know if you need a test-bed. I'll cover the cost of an extreme valve-body, I assume you would comp the engine and work for such a test project

As far as a local TLCA club, well it's a bit of a drive mmmmm about 300miles.( the Lone Star Land Cruiser club DFW) I am in west Tx , in Lubbock . I was a member when I lived in Austin. There are not alot of Cruiser guys in my area and most people around here dont really know that much about them mainly my local Toyota dealer.
Then again its kinda of good becouse I bought my first Cruiser 75'fj40 w/350 for 500.00 bucks!! Just put a battery in and a set of tires . It was my daily driver for 11 years then sold it for 6800.00 about a year ago.
If this is any clue the guy that has this 62, he actually drives a Dodge Durango and his WIFE drives the 62..
So he has no clue what he is missing out on .. He says he doesn't understand why she wont just drive something else. So I may add a 62 to the stable before to long.
