But my springs are new as well as my bushings and I also do not have the entire 2F installed so it will settle a bit.

so tonight I'm bummed.

Set the pinion angle, welded the drivers perch in and found out the perch is a good half inch taller. Right know i really want to cut it out and get Dan to send me the right perch . Thats about four hours of cutting and grinding and resetting everything that I don't want to waste. my other thought is to just cut some .5" plate and weld it to the drivers side plate.

Only good thing is I got my Marlin Crawler shock hoop in on the drivers side . Had so straddle the steering box. With a 14" shock I have about 3.5"s of rod showing. no pics

I was right @ 24" to the bottom of the frame.........on 42s......full frame.....on leafs.

Hey Let me know what you want to do. The girls are sick so I am staying home with them tomorrow. If I get a chance when they are down for a nap I'll get after the perches.

BTW, as it sits now (Rockwells, full frame +, leafs) it's @ 27.5"

Alright, got the back supports fitted and welded on the driver shock hoop and threw on some paint.

Looks like we have the same problem as Tim. The front hole on the Ruff Stuff passenger side spring perch is too close to the housing. Can't get a bolt through, a nut tight to the bottom, or even a socket head cap screw to fit in.

My first thought is to use the plas to elongate the hole to where a bolt can come down from the top and then weld a tall nut on the bottom side. Should work.

One more. 14" Billstein. There is 4" of shaft showing @ ride height. Should work good.

I like the hoops, I think they just look better. I ended up with just a little more than 5" of uptravel on my front shocks (14" bilsteins). I'll be extending my bumpstops down and I'm assuming you're planning the same. Did you plan in for the springs settling?

I'm calling Dan again right now. This needs to be fixed. I realize this kit is like 80% and some cutting and gringing is expected but I don't consider this problem safe at all.

I ended up just burning it in, didn't want to wait. ended up fine. no problem using a large 5/8" u-bolt nut(tall nut). I did end up having to cut a lot out of the little plate to get the angle.

well... the axle, knuckle's and third are in and ready to roll. Got hung up on the Martack and stopped for the night. I'm tired and Freds40 has all the pic's.

left to do on the front

redo the Martack
new wheel studs
couple of parts for the felts
replace the solid line on the calipers W/ the NAPA 38881 hose
bolt it together & turn it around and bolt on the rear axle.

great build, ton of work!!!!!

question on the napa hose, is at a direct replacement or do you have to mod something?

My Ruff Stuff perches look a little different than yours. I was able to use the bolts that came with it and have room to install them.

Only you and Fred40 will understand these pictures.

A few more. Look at the brake tab on the housing for reference between mine and yours.
