They fit you like a glove, I feel like I could drive all day in them and still be comfortable. Made the driving position just right.

Do they vibrate at speed or something? They look pretty good as is.

Beautiful and Inspirational

Smkymtn,
You have one of the best looking rigs on here.
You have just described everything I want to do to my 87.
Where did you get your 5-speed?

Tranny was from cruiserparts 1995.00 delivered. My advice is get the 5 speed shifter when you get it- thanks for the compliments- I am having to get an alarm installed as someone in asheville thought is was real nice too and tried to steal it.

whoa

Shotgun and pit bull time. Watch out for your baby. Luck with putting in the alarm. Hope it automatically causes grieff for the thief, as well as keeps the rig safe. LOL

I am doing both- I was pretty freaked out after that. I am real careful now about where I leave it. Its a damn shame- I dont think any self respecting cruiserfan would try to take it, so I am thinking kids looking for a joyride or stereo- The tuffy box is a great stereo saver, I give it all thumbs up. If you want to keep your shit safe get one. I think they saw there was no stereo and left- even though it is in the tuffy. The fron speakers are hidden behind stock grills.

protection & de-chroming

nice rig smky...time for some added protection - kill switch, lo-jack, the club, 357 magnum, ball python on the front seat

on another note: what was your paint process for de-chroming the windshield frame & rain gutters? love the black! I have a white FJ62, so I'm going for the absolutely, no chrome look, including the chrome strips down below the doors. btw, did you remove yours or paint it black too? can't tell in the pics.

You may want to also look into a shifter lock. I saw them in another thread. could mount to the front of your tuffy and then lock the truck in gear. Just a nother added security measure.

not a bad idea- lojack is pricey- I think they were just after stereo stuff, but I am getting alarm done this week and will look at kill switches, removing wires, pitt bulls- never leaving the car.
