I want a full set for 4 doors as well. My stripping is mangled from a coat hanger...don't ask.
Thanks for the efforts, Kevin.

I assume the new stripping will be black.(??)

Yup, you can have any color you want as long as it is black.

And I will step it up on the rear hatch seals, there seems to be a lot of interest.

How do you adjust the locks so they don't stick with the very new & cool weatherstripping?

As long as your doors were adjusted correctly to start with, the only adjustment you should have to make is to move the latch catch on the pillar out to the door a bit.
The catches can twist and move up and down in addition to out, so it is a good idea to trace the original location with a marker for reference.

thanks Henry Ford

Installed mine the other night great product! I gave it a few high speed tests and no more whistle in my ear I had to adjust the latch on the pillar a little bit but works great now!

This sounds like a great deal. To ease up on Kevin, has anyone tried the JC Whitney weatherstripping? The Iron Pig folks are using that, but you'd need a different part no. for the 60/62. Cost might be a bit more than what Kevin can get it for.

Not familiar with the product, JCwhitney rarely has anything that actually fits a 60! I'll look for it on the web, if its any good I'll bet it is made by the same folks.

This stuff has the 3/4" welt and the 1/16" edge thickness?

Naw, if you are looking at the online catalog, you need to look in the hatch seal section, not the trim seal section.
The trim seal is not as dense, or watertight as the hatch seal, I think the largest hatch seal comes is 11/16ths.

Oh, and it is 3/16 lip, not 1/16.

I will post a link in this thread to an order page for the sets I get out of this roll. I do already have another order on the way, I staggered it so that I did not have as much money out at once.
As long as folks follow the instructions on the "order page" I have made, it should go quite smoothly.

I re-checked your site - nice product! Am I reading the pics right - you're showing the weatherstripping at the body, right? I'm looking for the weatherstripping that's attached to the door.

Here's the JCWhitney link: HST MATERIALS STICK ON REPLACEMENT SPONGE RUBBER WEATHERSTRIPPING - JCWhitney Auto Parts

Trouble is that it's stick on rather than the pegs, and I don't even know if it's the right size . Anyway, I'm sure I'll be checking out your gasket next! Thanks.

Ahh, that makes more sense, I was looking at the site trying to figure out what the hell you were talking about!

So anyway, I have the first roll ready to go, and something set up on the site so people can put their names down, it is not the simplest, but it was the best I could finagle out of the program. You can go here and put your name down (dont forget to send the paypal ) Or you can just go to wagongear.com and follow the weaterhstrip links.

For anyone who is wondering, and so that everything is above board:

The material is from Trim-Lok, marine grade hatch seal, the best out there.
Part # 12B100B3X3/16A

The cost of the weatherstrip, per foot, to your door, reads out as such:

Material -1.608'
Handling -0.016'
Shipping (to you) -0.23'
Shipping (to me) -0.16'
PayPal fees -.065'

That equals $83.16 in actual cost for 40' of weatherstrip.
For simplicities sake, and to make sure any incedentails are coverd, I am charging $90.00 for each set.
That means I am making a "profit" of $6.84 on each set.

Well, it looks like that went fine.
The first six spots are filled, dont fret if you didn't make the cut, there will be another roll here next week.
As long as everyone has the right address on their paypal payments we should be all set.

Got mine yesterday as well and got three of the four doors in. Haven't taken it for a spin yet, but the quality seems real good. Props to Kevin for taking on the task and being so diligent about it - especially since he's not doing it for money. Hopefully cruiser Karma repays him.

I really have to slam the doors to get them shut. Unfortunately, one of the screws on my drivers side door latch is stuck so I can't re-adjust it. Hopefully, as the weatherstrip compresses, it will get easier to shut.

I'm not sure if it is a 60 thing or if my old weatherstrip was aftermarket or if I just misunderstood the whole idea, but I had no seal whatsoever on the trim. So this is like a redundant seal as the outer OEM weatherstrip is still used. Great idea.
Edit - Just re-read the thread and realized that 60's did not have the welting on the inner weatherstrip, so I guess mine was OEM (just useless!)

I can't wait to try it out and see how well it works.

Yeap, that's me. I'm paypal challenged!!

Stripping came in the mail Saturday. Will probably go in next week. The package doesn't look big enough for a tailgate kit . . .

You have to put yourself down! Hopefully the next roll will be here this week, but I doubt I will get to it until the weekend. Keep an eye on this thread for the next available batch.

Yup, you gota get the latch out a bit, slamming the doors is a pain. Make sure you are using a large flat tip philips head for the screws and put the bit in a 1/4' socket on a ratchet handle to give you the extra leverage.

I was looking at the tailgate stuff again today, after you all started complaining I noticed that mine was not actually tip top either.....
