The Great White Hope lives!!

Well after the help of almost the entire Austin crew rallying around Brian to help him get a truck for a STEAL I might add. He dropped it of at my house today for a possible blown engine. After having it checked at a local Austin shop it was diagnoised BLOWN. After speaking with Brian I told him I won't NMC his engine until I see it. And when I seen it and got a good look. I asked him does it crank? Don't know! Let's see...NO LOUD BANG...pull choke....PURRRRRRR like a kitten! So all I need to do is fix the spun harmonic Balancer and give it a solid RT Customs once over and he will be showing off his new truck around Austin!! Everyone welcome him to the madness and here are a couple shots of the truck. BTW the interior is SPOTLESS!!

Super Clean is a understatement! I helped Brain load up this truck for it trip to Dallas, and the seats have been recovered in HFS Marine Vinyl. I think it's the cool cruisers kit. Seat Covers - "HFS" SeriesThe Carpet was pulled out, and the PO had but in some black diamond plate rubber flooring, and it just works. All the other trim pieces are there and I would rate the interior as a 90%

Brain - just joined LSLC last week, and he is already clicked with the Austin crew. He took us all out for lunch on Friday to "Bone Daddys" as a thank you for helping him out. We are excited to have him as our newest member. (thanks again for lunch)

Yeah ....Brain has the Landcruiser bug bad - in one week- decided to buy a FJ60, Joined LSLC, meet a bunch of new friends, bought a truck, towed it to Dallas - delivered to Randy, and should have the truck back next week!

Awesome Randy! Good to hear it's not a big deal with the motor.

That truck really is spotless.

Just glad it all worked out for brian and rule #1 never believe what someone else has diagnoised until you get a second opinion or you know the mechanic very well. Can't wait to test drive this truck!! If Brian hasn't heard... I try to break them before I give them back

If the crank Mic's out close enough to polish and repair and the harmonic balancer is OK I will reinstall it. Otherwise I pull the crank and put the one Brian offered up in it and we are back in buisness. Eitherway I am going to deliver it next Sat. Then I am over to ML's for touch up on the White Ghost!

And you Austin guy's really know how to recruit new member's!! Thanks for the referral guy's that means a lot to me!!

Finally made it to Mud

Guys thank you very much for all the help (Parts, pushing the truck, and everything else).

It is true, I went from nothing to joining LSLC, meeting the crew, buying an FJ, hauling up the truck to Randy, & already planning the next upgrade.

Randy you said it. Rule of thumb. Don't count out these ole Fj's until they are in the crusher.

I cant wait to drive The Great White.

Speaking with Brian the Mods that are front and foremost will be the Springs. Those bad boys are near - arch. After that the sky's or wallet is the limit!

Should have you some pics tonight of the teardown on the front end. And see how bad the crank is.

BTW the engine is already cleaned up but that is going in a 40. That's why it's not in here. Poor mudder trying to get ready for round up. We all know how that is.

I am already on the hunt for a suspension kit. Looks like many people are anticipating the Hell Creek springs. Thoughts?

Good set of springs and I haven't heard of anyone talking bad about them yet.
