OEM '60 series snorkel part numbers anyone??

Does anyone have the part numbers for the OEM snorkel? I'm able to order whatever is still available from Toyota here in Guatemala but part numbers help. I was looking for the mirrors for my '55 last week and without part numbers it "wasn't available anymore" but today with part numbers, courtesy of the '55 crowd, I can still get them!! I'm hoping the same will happen with the '60.

If there is a difference I need numbers for a BJ60.

How do I convert the numbers shown on the diagram to actual part numbers? The 10 digit numbers are the part numbers but on the diagram that's the nuts and bolts, what are the numbers for the snorkel itself as well as the mounts and hoses?

I'll look in my EPC too. The numbers on the pic above are item numbers not order part numbers. You have to highlight those numbers and execute them to get the next page.

If you can PM me or post up a parts number list I'll see what the local dealer says.

I understand the desire to go OEM but IIRC some Toyota snorkels were not water tight (although they could be made so with some extra effort) but were intended to ward off dust. Is that the case w/ the 60 series? If it is, why not go for a Safari unit? Are they not cheaper anyway?

60 series is a one piece unit. 70 series snorkels are usually two piece.

The snorkel, however, was never meant for fording water, but for keeping dust out of the engine.

I know that the snorkel is primarily for dust not water. Down here we're moving into the dry season and I just dumped a cup or two of dirt out of my airfilter so something to reduce that would be welcome.

I've seen a real life demonstration of water entering the engine without drowning the snorkel down here in Guatemala with a guy and his '70 series pickup. We had to blow the water out of the turbo but the oil looked OK. He stalled while in the water which may have caused the water to come back in through the exhaust. The guy with the LJ70 had no water ingress issues, at least not in the engine!!

100 series and 200 series has that top. Is it a pre-filter?

Yea, a pre-filter made especially for sand iirc. It sounds exactly what cruiser_guy needs.

There was a member here from Peru that said he can get used 60 series snorkels for around $200. Don't know what happened with that deal.

I'd still like to try to see if maybe something is stashed away in a corner somewhere here.

Part numbers anyone??

I searched my whole EPC in the 60 series section and could not find the snorkle. Sorry.

I know it's not in my '60 series North American microfiche. I got the idea to give this a try when I was looking for mirrors for the '55. They were "unavailable" when I asked for them but they ordered them with the part numbers I got in the '55 section a few days later!
