I had two seperate problems caused by a third problem.
The first problem was a leaking power steering pump. I swapped it out friday night.
Saturday morning I steam cleaned the engine compartment to get all the power steering fluid off of everything. We left immediately after that.
Well when I washed everything some of the hot water and oil film became trapped in the EGR hose insulation that goes from the exhaust pipe to the EGR valve. This smoldered or caught fire and burned the hose up.
The smog pump vanes broke and seized the pump up. I have a feeling that I ran the leaking power steering pump a little too long. I had a trail spare with me so it was no problem.
I used the hose from the EGR to the air filter to make a new hose. I capped the nipples using a shop rag and zip ties.
Made it home no problem. |

Chicago | I have had it on all the trails in my back yard except the Pit at the top of one of the hills. I start sweating and the seat cover disappears at 35% off camber.
I still have the front sway bar but I'm installing the rear sway bar off my 62 this weekend. |

You are one productive dude.
Good looking rig. You make me sick, but still, good looking rig, hehe.

| How hard have you beat those sliders? I tend to put the entire rig on them. Will they hold assuming a good welding job? What thickness are yours? What seats are those?

I put the entire vehicle on them. I actually broke one off on the Strawberry Lake Trail east of Fresno. The slider was fine, it was my bad weld that broke. |

| Who makes the roof rack? I have a crap load of mods I need to do, but that will have to wait till I get home.
I've been to 2 SNT's with the wife and dog, but missed this years on account of me being out of the country. Well maybe next year.
Love your 60.

I think it was a dozen or so rigs. In April I had Lock and Low over but nobody wanted to wheel.
Twice a Year we do a fun run in combination with the vehicle inspection and safety meeting / potluck / bar b que / fishing contest/ volley ball game / horse shoe throwing competition. |
