| How to get your Cruiser stuck. DOH! Leave house at 9:30 p.m.
Go somewhere new.
Make sure it has rained for a few days straight.
Have bad tires.
If you can do the previous, here is what you might end up with.
Please learn from my mistakes. Kinda got in trouble by my Dad.
By the way thats not me pushing on the cruiser.

| No I finally got it out around 2:00 in the morning. That guy pushing on the cruiser brought a friend whose Dad had a tractor, he brought it out there. Tried to pull me out, while in 4 low, tractor dug itself into the mud. Then he pulled out a ghetto high lift, musta been 20 years old. They jacked up the tractor and shoved everything under it they could find: grass, boards, old carpet (not from cruiser or any car, my dad found it in the dumpster and brought it over.) So the tractor got out.
There was another truck with me, a 2wd Tacoma, we pulled him out in 15 min without a jack or anything he wasn't as bad as me though.
So we tried the cruiser again. We jacked up both front and back with the ghetto high lift, putting stuff underneath the tires. Put it in 4 low and 2nd gear, with three or four men pushing on the back, and I plopped right out.
The rear end was sitting on the frame and the right rear leaf was emersed in mud. I definately got extremely lucky.

| I had a similar experience in my dad's CJ7 with 4" lift. Went out with only a passenger and got stuck waayyy out of town. by the end of the night we had eight trucks stuck and I had to pay about $500 for damages to other peoples rides. we had a tractor come the next morning to pull out the 4 trucks that stayed the night. Needless to say it was a while before I was allowed to drive it again. Lesson learned though: dont go out alone. with no winch, when you are supposed to be at work in a few hours. |

| looks like you could have used a winch instead of the wench.... although both are indispensible at times

| Being stuck in mud like that I have seen a four wheel drive wrecker stand at at 45 degree (plus) angle trying to pull me out. The secret is pulling up more that out. I have rescued few folks with a four wheel drive tractor. I put a ten foot boom on the three point hitch to make the tow angle more acute. There seems to be a whale of a lot of suction holding a vehicle in the swampy mud.
Clearly. jacking the vehicle to level with the surface is a big help but very messy.
We all been there, well, except for Brian in PA, who never gets stuck owing to his superior four wheel drive skills.

| check out the 60 stuck thread... plenty of folks have been in your situation (or worse) Stuck Pictures
If you spend a lot of time around mud, a hilift and something to put under it (a board works well) can help a LOT. Once you'r frame is in the muck, you've got to pull pretty hard to get out. Lifting it free seems to be the key.
