Tapage: I'm wondering what the long term wear and tear effect will have on them. Are they up to par with the other manufacturers producing springs or not?

looks good. it is funny to see such small looking leaf springs in the rear. is your rear shackle mounted correctly?

Gallo Pinto -
Do you have any side view shots (not flexing). And are those 31"s? __________________ 87 FJ60 31 x10.5 Silent Armors, LEDed, H4ed, Damplified, 4Runner calipered, and re-knuckled |

Gallo, you should have known that you would be our guinea pig for the parabolics from all the interest in this thread. Thanks for posting pics so far, and we are looking forward to more!

I have all my equipment loaded up in the back in this picture, about 100 lbs. Next time I get some soil samples I'll take some more pics.

Hi,
I am looking into roof top tents, as opposed to a expedition trailer. However, I am having a hard time finding information on tents obtainable in US. Most sites I have found are not located in the US and do not export.I like the idea of a plastic derived travel case. If made right, its more weather proof and durable than the PVC covers on most other tents out there. Materials and craftsmanship seems relatively decent. ================================================= lonajames, Addiction Recovery Colorado Addiction Recovery Colorado |

I called up MAF tonight and they still have one TIC set left over....I was thinking about pulling the trigger. Any more insights from the people who bought the other few sets that were available...now that it has been a few months?

TNTs installed
I have had a set on TNTs on my 62 for about a month now. So far I like the ride, and the combination of the parabolics, 4plus 4-3/8" greasable anti-inversion shackles and ProComp ES9000 shocks are a huge improvement over the tired stock suspension and lifted 2.5" in front and 3.2" in back. There is no difference in measurements side to side. Shackle angles are pretty much dead vertical.
Only complication with installation was the spring packs are much thinner, which wasn't a problem in the fronts. In the rear, the ubolts I got from JT outfitters didn't have enough threads to hold the thinner pack, so I put in some temporary spacers. For a more permanent solution, I bought a 4plus ubolt flip kit for the rear, but have not yet installed it. I haven't been off road yet. I'll post pics soon. __________________ Aaron 88 FJ62 - 31x10.5, parabolics, Scion radio, e85 flex fueler, 4 runner calipers, D'amplified, Wagongear weatherstrip. My DD commuter truck. |

sweet, thanks for the update. I look forward to the pics. Did you buy this from MAF as a kit with the ProComp ES9000 shocks or did you get them someplace else?

I just bought the springs and shackles from MAF. 4wheel parts had an internet deal for 4 ES9000 and a steering stabilizer for $149.99. Poly bushings and ubolts came from JT Outfitters.
