hoses into desmogged carb?

Okay guys I have a desmogged fj60 as was verified in a prior post.

JimC said that my hoses were hooked up wrong on the carb but to my knowledge didn't tell me which ones went there.

So on the three hose connectors that hook into the front of the carb which hoses go where?

I have a smogged fj60 that I can compare to if you want to direct me from a smogged -> desmogg.

Thanks

lunyou

On mine, the only hose is for the choke breaker and it goes in the middle port. The other two are capped. (I am talking about the 3 ports on the upper front of the carb, i.e. carb horn).

yeah those are the three i was talking about. Where is the choke breaker located? The other 2 should be capped?

It runs good right now although I haven't driven it out on the highway yet. If I uncap them it will run better?

Thanks

lunyou

The choke breaker is a diaphragm on the rear of the driver's side of the carburetor horn (top of carb). The vacuum hose goes from the middle port in the front to the choke breaker.. Another words, the hose goes from one place on the carb to another. Also, the hose has a one-way valve in it....a round doohicky. If you are de-smogged, I don't think that you need to be hooked to the other two ports and I definitely would not think that they should be left open.

thanks man.

I might experiment a bit with it......I could swear I used to have a vacuum diagram or something of the like setting around....but now I can't find it.
