Body panel armor?

Morning,

Anyone familiar with what was done to this 60, as I'm interested in doing the same to mine in lieu of replacing some rusted parts. Is this a pre-fabricated set of pieces I can buy somewhere, or do they seem custom?

Thanks!
Bret

Doh...I was hoping it was some sort of full-truck fender flare type of bolt-in add on, as I'm cheap and have never painted body panels before, so I'm a little hesitant to buy parts or attempt to fix the rust around the bottom of my tig.

Any suggestions or pointers as far as the best place to buy nice fender flares at a reasonable price? The ones I saw online that were recommended in previous posts run upwards of $500, and for that, I might as well just replace the panels.

There was a thread about peeps modifying old pathfinder fender flares. Its a really cheap alternative. Try searching 'fender flares pathfinder'.
