So I got the exhaust manifolds(LS2 corvette).. and they fit....but, I dont know if they will squeeze in between the frame and they might be on the way of the motor mounts. I'll post pics tomorrow !!! Also unlike the original EM these have the O2 sensors right in the middle I dont know if the different location makes a difference.

I don't think the location of the O2 sensors are going to matter much, as long as 2 are before the CATs and 2 are after the CATs.

Yeah, where's the pics???

Won't matter on the location for the sensors. Just need to make sure you have some clearance.

If they fit on the heads we will make them work. "It's only metal we can out think it". Lets get welding on that thing, you have to have it all done in time for S&T.

thats the kind of UMPT I need guys..Thanks !!!

Pics posted later today for sure...
Cool about the 02 sensors and Im sure it doesn't matter much right now but Im curious.. I see the 02 sensors on the exhaust pipes before and after the cats but the wiring has only two connections.

Randy, that's my main concern right now but I think we'll find out once I drop that thing into the bay... and Im aware of the return fuel line.. is that were the canister comes into play...(I dont know, Im guessing) I'll learn something new today !!

Peter when is S&T ??

Laters guys..gotta do some boring stuff now (work) !!

Yes the canister will need to be hooked up you will also need a pressure regulator. The regulator needs to be adjusted to 62 PSI @ zero vacuum. Just FYI

I use Jegs. They have many to choose from just make sure it is rated up to 65 or 70 psi with a return line.

Hey Manuchao, Get moving on that thing! S&T is November 2nd. That is your deadline. Lets get that engine and trans in there and weld it up. Did you send your harness out yet? I can't come by this weekend but maybe next weekend.

The Downey or AA adapter you will use from 4L60E to split case is several inches long, and eliminates the front driveshaft clearence problem. The miniturized driveshaft stuff is for different conversions using shorter adapters. We also have two different kinds of reluctor ring set-ups, one at the tranny, and one at the split T.C. I recommend you get one of our freebie V8 instruction manuals ASAP, before you burn up the alternator , and mess up on the 6 wires that go from ECU to your vehicle (not engine). Good luck with it Kimosabi!!!

It's great seeing vendors get on the forum and help their customers. I am getting all the info together for a swap this winter and it has been very nice seeing you helping and clarifying things on the swap. I also called today and got your instruction manuals coming which will help immensely. I can't wait to get the thing installed and I know with a vendor like y'all it'll be pretty painless!

I just finish the frame and did as told...drank a cold beer after I finished.. boy that felt good and it looks good too.. I treated the side and seal them as I seen on "another" thread...
I did not do the axles as I may go higher later on...I'll do them then....
I also will have to grind to bare metal once I get the motor mounts but it'll be a little spot and then touch it up...

I also went under the truck and sprayed under as I had some nice bare metal showing. So I POR15it primer it and spray painted it... It came out really nice...but most important it will last longer...

Im truly enjoying working in this truck...who knew !!!!

Next is putting back the gear box, fuel lines mating that tranny to the engine and dropping it into the bay !!

I always put the flywheel and convertor on first then move my tranny into place with the tranny jack. Put the engine on jack stands and block the back of the pan up level. Then lift the tranny into place.(Use the hoist and save your back) It seems easier for me that way and I don't have to mess with trying to get the three bolts in the convertor with a tranny to deal with. But you can put the convertor in the tranny then bolt the housing and then go for the convertor bolts. It's which ever way you feel it would be easier. Hope it helps.

Im also looking at getting a fan for the rad..
Do any of you guys know if a LINCOLN MARK VIII ELECTRIC RADIATOR FAN would work.
Will this be overkill at 4-5k CFM.......
I have a new rad (aluminum) waiting to be installed...

I think it would be overkill. You can use the Contour fan and be just fine. What size Alt. is on that engine? 105 or 130 it is stamped on the Alt.
