intake manifold

will my landcruiser be hard to start in the winter with headers on. someone told me that below the intake is where it heats up the gas. I am adding sor headers and am wondering if I should fab a plate to cover the hole under the intake. it is a 83 fj60

heat riser

thanks, I don't know how many times I have been on that site and I never saw those. I know I was just at a machine shop and the guy said he had a friend who put headers on and took them back off cause of the rough idle in cold
