yup more soa questions

Ok if i was to use the duble cardon join on both ends of the front drive shaft when i go soa. Do i realy have to cut and turn the front dif. Or would it be cheaper to just get new front and rear difs already set up from factory with soa? Not worried about the rear axle person i got helpin me no what he doin. But i been reading about cut and turns then read something about useing cardon on both ends and can get away with it. Also My buddy wants me to pick up some custom springs from local spring shop that will be flat instead of haveing an arch. Has anyone done this? Sorry for my grammer and spelling public schooling sucked balls.

You can't run a cv on both ends of the driveshaft. Do the cut and turn, it isn't very hard and you will be very happy with the results. We did mine while springing over my cruiser and it probably only added an hour of work.

You can run double carden, or other types of CV joints at both ends. But for an SOA Cruiser there is no benifit to doing so. You can get more deflection from a standard Ujoint than from most dpuble carden joints.

Either do not do a C&T and use Ujoints, or do a C&T and use a single DC shaft. It's not rocket science and it's all been done before. Nothing new or exotic here.

I was planin on useing the duble cardon off and early model yota mini with the solid axel in the front. I wa sreading they were the same size as the top one on the 62 and you got more angle and less bind.

Check the diff angle...
On my 62 I was at 11* from the factory and when I did the C n T, I actually ended up pitching it DOWN one degree making it 10*.
Upon many recommendations, you want to account for some spring settlement and torque while in 4WD.
Im gonna run it with the stock front DS and see how it is before I make any big decisions for it.
I am gonna clearance my u joints though!
For the rear, Im having a DC drive shaft built!

Good luck!
