Does it make noise only when the pedal is depressed, only when the pedal is not engaged, or all the time?

My honda civic does the same thing, it is the bearing. I've been going strong with it for at least 50 k miles, but it is starting to sound worse.

as it warms up around here it probably will get slightly better. The cold weather makes bearings worse..

but the T/O bearing and clutch assy need to be replaced.

Dunno if you could manage this, but on old Porsches & Volkswagens you could drill a hole in the bell housing & spray the TO bearing with silicone lubricant. Quiets it down until you can get to it.
