FJ60 Body on FJ62 Rails/Chassis

Anyone know if the fj60 body will fit on the fj62 rails? My rails on the 60 are quite rusted and would like to place the decent body on the fj62 that I just bought that has good frame rails.

I don't have a clue. I'm putting a bobbed 40 cab on a 60 frame so nothing fits.

I don't see any reason it would not fit. Yes there are minor differences but I doubt the differences are in the mounting locations. Plus when you lift the 60 body and wheel the 62 frame under it you'll be able to see very quickly.

Good luck....(doubt if you're gonna need it though).

these are from the 1980 & 1984-1990 body & chassis manuals. "FJ-60" is on the top, "FJ-62" is on the bottom. There are differences in the frame (rear crossmember is different) but the body mounts look like they are in the same locations. Unfortuantely, Toyota chose to dimension the two schematics differently, so it's difficult to compare directly...

I have a 1984 FJ60 frame for sale. No rust. $200.00 plus the ride.

Will be doing this shortly...All the major stuff is the same with some good improvments of the fj62 frame. Beefer spring mounts and I think one or two others I cant think of off the top of my head. Plus they are newer and have a better chance of being rust-free.

Just asking why?...fj62 has a slighty stronger frame. Im sure it will be fine either way...just asking why.

I have no problem shipping it.

Anybody know how much a bare FJ60 frame weights? I'm guessing 450 lbs.

I will have to weigh my trailer and then weigh my trailer with the frame on it. I'm traveling this week so it won't happen till next week.
