| If they are the toyota part (not the cheap knock off) then they are a very nice mirror and do not shake. I have a set of those now. I also had the cheap version, and those were OK, but they rattled, etc... |

| If these are the ones were the entire mirror is metal and not half metal and half plastic. That is about the right price and they are very stable. I purchased the half plastic and half metal and they did shake a lttle which stopped after I put a bead of silocone on them. Still even the plastic ones are an improvement over the 60 and 62 mirros I had been using. I went with plastics because of price here is a link to both. If you search the treads you will find tons of opinions.
plastics http://www.man-a-fre.com/pa/fj60wideanglemirror.htm
OME metals http://www.tlc4x4.com/2000/Parts/tlc_mirrors.htm
They say in the acution they are made in Japan and are OEM the plastics are made in Tiawan |

| I've yet to see them on JDM trucks... and Aus spec trucks... They do seem to be the standard mirror on Euro spec 60s... that's a good price if they are OEM mirrors. |

| I just installed a used set of Taiwan made 'Aussie' mirrors on my 60 and am loving them. They are not perfect, the drivers side moves in the wind and they are probably not as solid as the OEM ones, but for the price worth it. You could always upgrade to the stock 62 mirrors if you are buying a new set.
Bonus with any of the upgrades....you can actually use them

| I am running a pair of Taiwaneze plastic 62 mirrors now - they vibrate & don't adjust the way I want. Plus, the glass was so wavy it felt like I was drunk the first time I tried to back into my garage. Changed the glass out to stock 62 replacements (had to grind them down) & fixed that problem.
The first thing I'd do with these "Aussies" (the real OZ guys on this forum swear they've never seen them) is replace the convex glass with flat, & add spot convex glue-ons if I need wide angle. Hate backing up a trailer with a passenger side convex mirror.
TLC4X4 lists them at $307 a pair. I asked Cabe Toyota for the part # & they said 87910-69025.
CruiserDan, care to comment?

| CruiserDan PMd me to say "That is not a valid part number in this market (north america). I do not have access to the part or pricing."
Just checked SOR - 166-AUS $199.53 apiece! MAF 87903-90A04 $129.00 each.
I just ordered the BuyItNows before checking MAF - rats! (have a big order waiting to give Steve-O and would have liked to make it bigger)
At least I can put these on in a couple minutes as opposed to every other thing I seem to get for my truck. Wish I'd never wasted my time on the Taiwanese 60 knockoffs.
And I want to be like 2mbb!

| Thanks Tinker, I think...You should check out man-a-fre's price. It's less than SOR . That's where I got mine (acutally a friend of mine bought them for me fom MAF).
Good Luck! |

| I got the ones from Cool Cruisers of Texas. Sort of cheesy but better than the stock little ones that were on my 60. I would rather have these mirrors and something else (eg. SOR seat foam?) than spend $300+ on mirrors. Do the FJ62 mirrors work?

| I just picked up a 62 that has true Aussie mirrors, they don't shake a bit, probably the best mirrors I've ever used. They adjust easy and stay in place, even at highway speeds. |

| I love mine, if you pull a trailer or just have to back up in tight spaces they are great. Nice mirror surface. Don't shake at all and only move out of possition in the car wash. Good price too.
I got mine from SOR 5 years ago and have never regreted the cost. |

| Hey Derrik -
Are they on your "1897 FJ60 - stock, blown head gasket"? Didn't know they had head gaskets 110 yrs ago.
Might correct your sig.
Couldn't help it, sorry.
