question to the cruiserheads in the lone star state...

i bought my rig with the emissions stuff already removed.
i live in colorado now, but if i moved to texas, would it pass emissions tests without that stuff? i want to be able to drive on road, not just off. if not, how much do ya'll think it would be to put that smog stuff back? is it complex to reinstall? help...

If you have all the smog components, it's pretty easy to put back on because I was easy to take all mine off.

Look at the thread that was posted not to long ago named "desmog pics needed". It' was mine and I got a number of really good pics to show me what to remove. That would be a good place for you to start to determine what needs to be replaced.

if the vehicle is 24 years or older it is a saftey only inspection meaning you no longer have to worry about smog test ever again!! all they do at that point is check the saftey items wipers, headlights, seat belts, horn, blinkers you know that sorta thing.

Texas only has smog inspection in the major cities, Dallas, Houston, etc. Most of the state has no inspection other than safety.

that's good to know. i'm not sure how soon the move will take place, but i really want to concentrate on other things on my rig besides the smog stuff... like some black rims and arb bull bars. yeah!!

yea man i drive my 60 in dallas every day for the past 3 years no smog stuff havent had to worry about it
