FJ 62 OME Suspension Installation Help

I just purchased a used OME suspension (shocks and leafs) from a friend. the parts are about 3 years old. Since the shackles and spring pins got trashed on the disassembly I purchased new ones ones from man-a-fre. I am ready to do the install but was hoping someone could tell me where I could find some install instructions for the OME set up. I have the Toyota factory repair manual, so I have the general removal and installation covered but I am not 100% sure about the shackles.

Can anyone point me to a link where I can find installation instructions?

Also, I was told that I might have to get longer brake hoses and a steering dampener???? Is this true?

THANKS!

Do a search for "OME install" also CCOT has instructions on their web site for installation of their Hell for Stout springs...same proceedure for OME.

No you do not have to have a new stabilizer, I bought one when I went OME, my original was perfect so it was a waste, at the time of install, however, my rig only has 96.5k miles..if yours is way up there in miles..yeah go ahead and replace it..getting the old one off was a bitch for me..got-it-done..but it weren't purdey. If your truck is drifting all over the road or doing death shakes then you stabilizer is shot.

don't need brake lines with a standard OME lift, probably do if it is a 4" lift..

Just a matter of opinion on some of the above..i'm sure there are and will be disagreements...

Depending on the amount of lift?? you may want to consider longer sway-bar links...

Thanks for the replies.

I am trying to keep the vehicle as stock as possible. The OME set up that I got will raise the vehicle 2 in.
