best header/intake manifold combination

I'm trying to figure out the best header and intake manifold combination for my 1985 60 with a completely stock 2F. I have the dreaded intake manifold crack and decided if I could get a little more power and mileage out of my 2F while I have the whole thing apart. ideas would be appreciated. I also plan on getting a carb rebuild too while I'm at it. Thanks.

Stock intake, MAF 6-2-1 ceramic exhaust. Sounds kinda raspy, but not rice-rocket bumblebee.

Engine was real loud and gas milage has gone down the drain. It got really bad driving across the country. I was getting about 17 mpg when the trip began and was getting around 12 by the time I got into Montana.
