Fender flares for an Fj60>>Nissan Pathfinder

Has anyone looked into using Nissan Pathfinder fender flares (molding) on a FJ60? Can be purchased aftermarket $35 or obtained from junkyards. I haven't measured yet but it looks close.

I wish I could get a set of mud flaps for that price. The dealer wants $90 per flap! Yikes!

It's a cool idea. If you believe in the karma bank, buy some, see if they work, and post up the results here. Though I just did Cruisin the Woods run in Tillamook Oregon, and fender flairs wouldn't have made it between some of the trees...

well with a little cutting an fanagling...... i do believe these flares will work,NO PROBLEM!

i'll post a couple pics in the morning .
the flares i picked up were off a 93-95 pathfinder, but i believe any p/f from 87-93 is what your going to want to look for.
the 93 and newer flares have a notch cut for mud flaps.

find them used at a wrecking yard.

if you go looking for these in a bone yard your gonna want to look for 4dr pathfinder flares.

like i said, with alittle trimming of the flare. i think these are the deal.
they seemed to fit real well.

enjoy!

alot of them did, you can buy them new from the dealer.

i tried what i thought was a good wrecking yard, they told me they only sold them used with the fender or 1/4 panel.
i think the guy had them confused with the painted style on a 96' and newer path.

90-95's are the 4dr's

Any after shots? On the rear they hang down quite far in your fitting...

Here is some flares made for the 60. Not sure if you've seen them. I have not.

i did'nt buy them, my buddies at nissan let me borrow them to test fit.

yes, they would need trimming at the bottom.

Thanks for testing these out 2bad, this looks like a great and affordable alternative. I know I've got a rusty rear I'd love to clean up (no pun intended).

So has anyone found and tried any of the earlier (up to 93) flares? Any pics of those?

as long as they're 4dr flares they'll work 93 and up have a integraded mud flap.
90-93 are basicly the same flare.

like i said. you will have to trim the lower parts of the flare.

I just failed my state inspection because my tires stick out past the wheel wells. I need to put some kind of flare on there. Did anyone end up using the nissan fender flares??

Holy old thread! I put some Pathfinder junkyard flares on this year. They worked out ok, not superb, but it keeps some of the mud off the rig and off me, and the Highway Patrol don't bother me. I'm happy with them. I did have to screw them on from the outside, so there is no turning back now. Rust got most of my fender lip so I was left with few options.

i used sme flexible rubber universal fit type from jc whitney or somewhere like like, maybe jegs or summit. work well, easily custom fit, and dont get broken or ripped off because of rubbing (they are flexible)Name: before SOA.jpg
