So here's a stupid question....can you mix the two fuels? Meaning, if I'm running fossil diesel in my truck, and I spot a biodiesel pump, can I top off the tank with it?

Another angle. Once you go to biodiesel, can you still put fossil diesel through your system? Any detrimental effect to the fuel lines/filters?

This is somewhat hypothetical because the closest biodiesel pump is about 80 miles from me, and trust me, my wife is NOT going to put up with a self-prepared biodiesel operation out of the garage.
