Wow, am I glad I read this thread. My wife and I were going to get some watches for our 15th aniversary, and I was thinking about getting some of the Luminox titanium watches which aren't exactly cheap. My friend had the same Lum. Ser. 1 watch and had it for years with no problems. It was about 3yrs old and hadn't even used up a battery yet. Most of my watches are some that caught my eye at a pawn shop, that were really cheap. I've got some Swiss Army watches that I wear regularly and besides new batteries, and the band pins keep breaking so I make my own pins now they've been fine. I've never had a high dollar watch. I alway's wanted a Tag but don't want to spend that much yet for a timepiece. ..My wife gave me a Casio G-shock for me right after we got married, almost 15yrs ago. I used for years doing plumbing work, jack hammering, construction and finally lost it. Just had to put one battery in it during that time. My brother still has his Casio watch he got in 79 or 80, stainless steel case, and alarm. He still wears it every day. He's replaced many bands and batteries and say's he'll get another one when this one finally quits. He called me the other day and said he found my watch, so I went by his house. I didn't remember leaving one there. It was my old Casio G shock, and I had left it in the yard when I was fixing his sprinkler system. It had been in the yard for over three years and was still working. I was so excited until I saw he had hit it with his lawn mower. It is cracked almost in half, but still works so now it's in my consol in my Cruiser if I need a back up quick watch. Maybe my wife and I should splurge and get matching G-shocks, and spend the rest on a vacation.
