I've had a number of expensive watches, and none of them add up to my Casio G Shock. Close second was my Shark Watch, but that was years ago, don't know what the quality is like now. The G Shock was a gift from my girlfriend (now wife), about 5 years ago. This thing has held up like a goddamn champion. I'm hard on watches, too. I've had "good" (expensive) watches give out on me after a couple of days. My Wenger Swiss Army lasted about 2 weeks. Tag lasted a couple of months, liked the styling but broke it while surfing. When I break a watch, I always get super pissed. People always ask, "Why don't you take off the watch when you work/go surfing/take a shower/etc.?"

WHAT'S THE POINT OF OWNING A WATCH IF YOU CAN'T WEAR IT ALL THE TIME?!?!

When this G-Shock dies, I'll just get another G-Shock. Nothing works like something that works.
