Dude, didn't the guy on the street corner give you a warantee?

I've had tons of watches, all different makes, they've all crapped out after a couple of years (or sooner). I think I'm just hard on them (maybe I've got some sort of negative energy field emanating from my body? ). Maybe it's just NJ living. Maybe it's just you.

My wife once bought me a nice Seiko, it died after 1.5 years. Turns out she got it at Century21, so maybe it was grey market/defective, who knows. Seiko wanted $$$ to fix it, I told them to fawk themselves.

My current watch, a cheapie Swatch, actually lasted the longest--four years running, with two on the shelf (went without a watch that long--I was never far from a a clock).
