How are your rear hatch struts and hood struts? If they're good, care to swap them?

Mine stay up about half the time.
Out of curiousity, what are you looking to get with the C4C gubment credit?
I am also considering participating in the program, but not using my 80. I have an old Mark VII(lincoln) that has been taking up garage space for too long. It's fully tagged and registered so it qualifies. Barely though since the govt data states it gets an est 17 mg total(Ha!).
So the replacement vehicle for me would have to get minimum 21 mpg. If I sold the cruiser out right and added it to the C4C voucher that would make a better down payment but there's not many affordable vehicles out there that I'd be willing to part with the cruiser for.
Saw an ad for an H3 that stated 22 mpg, but my recent rental showed many small flaws in the nearly new H3.
That just leaves Honda CRv territory and it's ilk...yuk.
May just leave the cruiser out of it and use the 4500 towards an econo-box commuter like our dear leader wants us to do.
A Versa or scion or something to act as a parts runner for when I'm working on the cruiser. :-)
