It started as a simple mod

All I needed to do was drill and tap the intake manifold on my 283 SBC for a temp switch for the elect fan, Well as long as the intake was off I took off the valve covers to track down a small oil leak! and then I noticed that a few of the rockers were a bit off and the valve stems were worn funny, So off came the heads to the machine shop they went for a full Valve job. While I was waiting I fixed up the fan temp switch and a few other things, then got the heads back on, in the end it runs better than ever. Good thing the fan needed work or I might of been left on the trail with a dead engine!
