Just a few shots of today's quick project to let me carry my mountain bikes on my Thule 4-bike carrier, and still allow me to pull my trailer. Nothing special, but for $15 for the tube pre-made, and some plate i had laying around, it works great. I shouldn't have cut the tube to angle the rack upward though. Ended up too far and the rack doesn't sit flat enough. Something to play with another day.
Not sure how steep of a hill I could take before the rack will contact the trailer, but this is really just for back and forth to the lake usage for now. I could see using it with my hitch carrier to carry coolers or storage tubs with some clearance.
It was the first time I burned some welding wire in about 5 years. Albeit only about 8" of weld.
