Are you talking about the re gear, longs, locker etc?
Right now, Ive been keeping an eye out for a rear primarily.
What SHOULD I be looking for with this in mind?
When the Vortec goes in, Im hearing that even the polys wont hold up with that power. However, I take that with a grain of salt because I donno how other people wheel. I tend to be rather delicate.

As far as 60 front's go, most of them were in work trucks, so they may or may not have had the best care and were most likely heavily loaded for most of their life. Like most axles, all of the seals need replaced, maybe the wheel bearings (migh just need a re-pack) the rest is like other axles as well when it comes to re-gearing, same stuff there. The big difference and where you see most of the wear is with the Kingpins, the parts are usually worn out from the mileage/weight/lack of service type stuff.
As far as whether the Poly's will hold up, I think with your style you would be fine. I have seen more pinion breaks than axle breaks. Pretty scary either way.
Rears are easy/peasy. I would do either a 14bolt (with a minor shave) or a D70U. With a 60, you will need to have the spindles bored to accept 35/1.5" axles (read custom). The beauty of a 14 bolt is the gear setup is easy, they are bulletproof, cheap and a Detroit is cheap, disc brakes are cheap. Pretty much the perfect one ton rear axle. Super strong and cheap.

Good luck and let us know how the hunt goes. Also, if you find more than one (especially chevy front 60), you might want to let Keith know about it. (Stirring the pot
