but now I have gotten rid of my scary bumpsteer on 2 lane roads, I no longer have to carry a milk crate along to climb into the
truck and my old crippled doberman can reclaim his perch as co-pilot on the way to the lake. I traded my SOA front axle to GLTHFJ60 for his stock 60 front axle regeared to 4.11 and got to see what a young guy will do for free shat, drive 1200 miles straight thru because he doesn't want to pay for a motel room, with only a 30 minute stop to load and unload axles in the middle. I also learned more about this truck than any I've ever owned before. I've owned her since April and it has been out of the shop and ready to roll a grand total of at least 14 days. Made the wife chest thumpin proud that I would sell a perfectly good 2001 Silverado to buy a permanent weekend project.

Next it's a rear bumper to hang that pretty new spare on and then attack the few rust spots and completely rebuild the cancered out lower tailgate.
Looks like I'm busy all next winter....
