On the advice of a mechanic buddy I replaced the distributor cap and rotor and VOILA! Starts(repeatedly) and runs fine. My buddy said to use only AC Delco or Borg Warner. I had it replaced at 98,000 miles, but I do not know what mfr they used. I think those flat caps have a tendency to short out inside. Anyway.....fixed.
