I installed a Wheelskin cover a week after I bought the Cruiser (2+ years) and never looked back. As others have said, if you take your time the installation is easy and clean, and I actually prefer the slightly thicker wheel. I don't care for the wood on the steering wheel of the newer LX470s at all.
