Actually what I think your looking at is some areas that he missed, I think I could see how you would think that? I would say there is little to no pitting on the frame at all.

When I got home this afternoon I went through a couple bags of sand with my own equipment on the frame hitting a few small areas he missed. I'm actually amazed how smooth and how well the frame cleaned up

I know what your saying though. On my 77 FJ40 that I restored there was significant pitting on the frame. I didn't powdercoat that frame, it was painted, but if you look for it you can see it.

I think this frame is going to come out of the oven looking awesome. I will have pics tomorrow.
