Well got a little bit more done this evening. Took out the front shock and started cleaning up the frame and front housing with a wire wheel and wire brush.

I tried some flat black spray out on some of the areas I cleaned up. I think I will go that route, it looked pretty decent.It hasn't had anything like this done since 84, so its better then nothing. I know it is the cheapo way out but it will accomplish what I need. Thanks for the input. Oh and i got front passenger side fender waxed woo-hoo Progress baby progress.
