A couple of options to replace the smog pump. Gut the vanes from the existing SP if the bearings are good. Use an SP that I have that is already gutted. Idler pulley from JimC. Or an FJ60 alternator with an FJ62 Motor mount and a 43.5 or 44" fan belt. You can read Kevin Rowland's write up on that and/or look at mine when you get a chance.

A good body shop would need to watch out for possible drive train damage if the motor moved too much or any body mounts were bent and seeing as it has high miles they probably blue booked it at 2 to 3k-easily the cost of any body/frame work required, bumper, maybe rear tailgate and the replacement quarter panel. The rig has been resprayed with a good 10' paint job but may have had something happen up front as there is no "toyota" badge on the grill. Front bumper is gone.
It ran smooth except for the exhaust leak and noisy flow-master muffler. It drove straight and the tires aren't wearing weird. The motor fired right up after sitting for a couple months. So I would say it is a solid rig.
I noticed some non-OEM bolts on timing gear cover today and on the skid plate as well. Just curious as to what has been done on this previously. I am assuming it was the owner before that repainted and did paint.
Plans are to get it dialed and sell to finance my diesel conversion. If the desmog turns out good I will do it on my tan 60 (Turdy)
Any body know where to source a junkyard or aftermarket pulley and tensioner to replace the smog pump?
