This setting is in the dealers scan tool and they should change it. I know with Lexus its a personal setting that we change for free at the 1000 miles service. I would call the service manager and see what he says, if he won't change it give Toyota a call and ask them for help with the dealer in your area. This has been cover before in this section.

OK, went to dealership today for first oil change (2170 miles, M1, 0W20, takes the specified 7.4 qts- you do have to remove half the engine skid plate to get to the canister filter, major PITA) and asked the tech about turning off the buzzers and beeps and he says he doesn't think you can! I say let's hook up your programmer and see and sure enough was able to turn off all the Smart key buzzers and beeps as well as the seat belt warning buzzers, driver and passenger, and turned off the DRL's as well! Blissful quiet now!!! As an example of how much nicer it is, routine on my return to my home is to undo seatbelt at mailbox to reach out to check mail which USED to result in steady buzz for 30 seconds till silent, then when stopping and turning off rig (smart key in my pocket) opening door would lead to chime chime chime chime chime to let me know the rig was off but a door was open and the key was still inside, then exit rig and open rear tailgate to retrieve whatever resulting in steady buzz to let me know tailgate open with no key in the rig!.. Now, silence at all above! Advise you to to the above at delivery as they tried to charge me $20 for the reprogram (although I had to show the tech how to do it) to which I absolutely refused!
