Venting the transfer is impossible without disassembling the transfer. It's something you do as part of a transfer rebuild.

When i got my mini truck's transmission in I pulled the shifter cover plate off the transfer case and drilled and taped the right sized hole in it. Stuck a 90 degree hose barb in it. Ran the line up into the top corner of the engine compartment. For the transmission I had them put the vent hole in. In mini trucks they normally vent through the shifter boots.
