Hi All:
Do you have an "F" engine or a 2F in this '71?
If you have a 2F, no problem; just move the alternator from the driver's side to the passenger's side. The wiring switch is not difficult.
If you do indeed have the the "F" still things become a bit more involved.

well thats what I am thinking I will have to do if if throws the belt. Or if I have a tension problem. the problem I have run into is the po bought a 2f motor but left it as a single belt. i will have to buy double pullys to run the alt on pass topside.[/QUOTE]
