Actually, the solution presented to me by Don is to take some sheetmetal and make some angle iron. Then spot weld similar to factory style. Shouldn't kill the paint too bad Just takes a few hours(aka money)... but that is time that could have been spent on the bumper or cutting the rear rockers

It is frustrating to run into things like this where the PO does something completely unexplainable. It is one thing to fix bad welding or ugly bumpers... quite another to fix something like this that wasn't even needed

Things were just starting to look like they were going to run smoothly and then this happens
