I'm still alive....

Yep, I'm still alive! I haven't been on the board since early Dec, and haven't really posted since last fall or summer. I spent this winter skiing my butt off with my 2 yr old, and then in late March I went down to Memphis for 2 1/2 months of Captain upgrade training - cha ching!

We sold our house in March (more cha ching! ), and the new owners are supposed to close on the purchase next Friday. We bought 11 acres in Southern Pines, NC and are building a small horse farm. We'll be living in the barn, we're building it with a 2 bdrm apt upstairs, for a year while we build the main house. We should roll into NC shortly after July 4th.:usa:

Since we sold the house and are moving, and since I haven't hardly touched my 40 in the last 2 yrs, I yanked the truck out of the garage this week and have been prepping it to take to Delta, CO for Jeremiah Proffitt to finish what I didn't and to unf**k what I did!

Anyway, this is what it looked like this morning after towing it up my driveway and slapping the roof on, very hastily. I hastily slapped the doors and some other stuff on later in the day!:shaking:

If all goes well, I should be able to pick it up and take it east to NC this winter, in conjunction with a ski trip, or if later, then maybe I delay until CM07!

I had a helper while throwing the front axle together the other night!

Congrats Sean. Glad you are able to get around! Skiing isn't quite as nice in NC, but I'm sure you will figure out a way to deal with that.

Hi Charlie! Yea, we plan on a big trip or 2 back out here to Steamboat every winter.

Looks like I may have more opportunity to be in your neck of the woods again. Since I traded in all of my right seat seniority, and all that great international flying, for the left seat cha ching, it looks like I'll be flying more domestic flying the next few years. I'll give you a heads up if I make it out your way! And the will be on me!

Sean,

I am in Raeford NC. Let me know if you need anything / any help with stuff.

You got horses, or are buying some when you get here. Reason i ask is we got one and have some decent contacts for some good horses around these parts.

Darin

Sean,

Welcome to NC.
I'm in raleigh, but I'm in SP quite a bit to see some old friends. I bought some parts from you a couple years ago while I was building up my 40. Can't remember what they were though. Anyway, if you need any help/connections I'd be happy to do what I can, or maybe just grab a sometime.

Shane

Hi Darin,

Thanks for the offer. We have 2 horses already, and had shipped them out already - they are up Ovation Farm in Sanford for some training. Actually, one of them is recuperating, he severed a tendon the day after he got there and hass be spending time between Sanford and NC St.

I'll be up for some wheeling in my Taco, until my 40 makes it out there!

Our place is in McDeeds Creek off Camp Easter!

Sean

Hey, thanks Shane. Wasn't it some tires? I think I sent some to NC some time ago?

I'll be commuting to Memphis via Raleigh. I'm always up for !!

Also look up the Upstate Cruiser guys. We have a expedition planned next month that is going to be real nice and our anual Tellico run in August which we have exteneded invites to any cruiserhead.

Yep, GSMTR looks like a doable event. If the timing works out, I may pick my 40 up in time to run it at CM07, then stop at Tellico on the way home!

Either way, it'll be good to finally meet you Brian!

Thanks,

Sean

The expedition looks like fun, but I have to go back to work that week!

I'll see what my Aug schedule will allow in mid July!

Thanks,

Sean
