Well, your engine number is definitely right for that time. Yoda'stoy's 3/76 is 80401, and cruisermike's 9/76 is 112424. Probably original.

Hello,
My 78 FJ40 was builtin Jan 1978. The frame number is 266579.
The engine number is: 2F 232892. To my knowledge the engine has never been changed.
