I asked that exact question a couple years ago. http://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/22095-yet-another-paint-question.html
Looks like there were two possibilities: Muleta Red or Seminole Red.

is this spring green T1028?
i have a 1966 45LV and a 1971 FJ40, just wondering if i got lucky and they are both the same color code? the first two pics are the best original colors i can find on the LV, the third is obviously the 40 which has been repainted who knows how many times, but is the orig color.

yes but.... the interior colors of the LV just seem to be tinted like the exterior color.
I don't know the interior color code so as soon as you find out, let me know.

edit: I got info back from the seller which is the same specs as what CCOT has for pumpkin (I think it looks better than the CCOT pics but maybe its the light) http://coolfj40.stores.yahoo.net/puorco.html

Has anyone found a live code for T1434?
I was looking at a PPG site: http://www.ppgcarpaint.com/paints-by...00&ModelId=100
and the only name that looks close is Silver Poly - OEM Code: 128 - PPG Code 33188
Anyone?

Ask buckroseau or check out his LV thread. He had a lot of info on the glovebox door paint color.
AATLAS could also probably tell you, he repros those all the time.

I would like to see if anyone out there has T303. Its been called Fashion Green, and SAGE Green. PPG has T303 as Sage (44402 is there code), and the SCION web site calls it Fashion Green... Just wondering.. Thx

Wes, I found a book from Japan that says the Colorado Beige was only offered on the station wagon. I haven't figured out if it refers to the FJ55 or the FJ45 wagons though. Nebula Green is in there so it might be FJ55 colors.

I have a 1979 Fj55. The paint code says 276. It's been completely repainted and I can't find any old spots of the original color. The PO said it was "baby shit Brown" I bought it from Australia.
Anyone know this code? Is it the elusive shit brown code?

I can't find a reference to 276, but the color you're describing is Olive Green and for '79 it's probably 653. Are you getting the 276 off the firewall number plate?
From paintscratch.com you can see codes from 1980 (very limited data for earlier years) and there are two "two-tone" paint codes listed. Both start with a '2', so 276 is probably a code for a two-tone paint scheme. Maybe it was white on top and Olive Green on the bottom?
This thread refers to a later-year two-tone combination 27G, which could be mistaken for 276:

It definitely says 276 and it is on the firewall tag. Didn't think that number would be for a 2-tone code but that does make sense as it is a 55. The olive may have faded to a shitty brown. I'll keep digging.

Doing some research on my 1979 FJ55 factory color, "277". I came across the Sherwin Williams Automotive paint website which actually listed it correctly as two tone. They said 277 is 621 "rustic green" with 031 "white".
Can anyone with a rustic green FJ55 confirm that their color code is 277? I've found three different colors of blue on my rig but no green yet...ha! I'll scratch deeper and see what I can find.
