Orange Cruiser in the upstate....You don't have a Tiger Rag horn on that thing I hope! I am from Clemson...Had to join the Army to get away from all the orange...now I really hate green for some reason...That ain't good because my 76 is Green. Well mostly primer but it was originally Green! Great thread w/ videos!

The crazy thing is I'm not a Clemson fan. I'm fixing to repaint it and still want to go back to the orange color. Mainly no one has that color.

Great looking cruiser!
Where did you get the LED's for the dash lighting? Do you have a source and part number?
thanks!

What is the source of the power steering pulley you show in your post #26?

Here is a useless thought, could you make that TRD sticker into a TRO and then TROLL or TROLLHOLE on the side. Thanks for the LED part stuff, very cool

PO put that on. besides grinding it off I havenot found an easy option. A heat gun won't even get it off.

I was thinking take a razor knife or maybe some silver paint and change the D in TRD to look like an O for TRO. Perhaps look on the net to find a what font TRD uses and then make a template for two LL's or just make the font up. Cut the L design out of some black graphics tape or paint it on if you have the skills. Then the TRD becomes TROLL.
Then again you could just leave it alone, it looks good. I like to make weird custom stuff.

Awesome ride!! You are right about the orange: not many people have it, which adds to the idea that it is a great color choice. I am not sure I have seen a cleaner motor in a 40 before!
As far as that sticker, or any other sticker that will not come off, I have always had success in taking a rag soaked in boiling hot water and applying it to the sticker - this will loosen up the glue so that it can be easily removed without chemicals.
Edit: I had not realized how old this thread is - you have probably already repainted it...

Tell me you kept that shagging carpet that shows in one of the 05 pics - it totally goes with your rebuild theme .

Theres a vintage bronco in orange here in Florence...you can spot it coming down the road a mile away...certainly an eye catching color...Its a bit darker than a "Clemson orange" and doesnt really scream Clemson! when you see it as so many orange things might...
You have opened the door for many engines to get in touch with their feminine side...well done... ... or creative side....or...clean...yeah thats what it is...
Look forward to seeing it in person one day soon...
Jim
