New 72 FJ40 owner - parts hunter

Being that this is my first post, what is the best way to locate parts needed and to let others know what I am looking for?

The first thing is to start in the right section. You posted this in the FJ Cruiser section, you'll have better success in the FJ40 section, in the parts wanted section and looking in the parts for sale and parting out sections.

I'll move this to the proper section to help...

The classifieds here, the parts for sale section as well as the parting vehicles out section. Ebay is a great place to find anything you need, but you have to watch the price. I see a part go for $50 because several people really want it at that time, and then another one in better shape go for $10 or less. There is no telling if another one will come up the next week or a year later depending on what it is. Craigslist is a long shot, but once in a while parts come up, or someone is parting one out.
